If you're a penultimate to final-year law or final-year qualifying law student, our Clerkship Programme is the perfect stepping-stone to a Training Contract.
We think it’s important that your experience on our Clerkship Programme mirrors the reality of life as a Trainee Solicitor at the Firm. With that in mind, we’ll involve you in live work.
You’ll attend client meetings and have the opportunity to network with fee-earners at all levels – Partners, Associates and Trainee Solicitors. A lunch with your supervisor and buddy will also give you deeper insight into the Firm’s overall strategy.
Over the course of four weeks, you’ll gain experience in two different seats, with an assigned partner and associate mentor in each. Since pro bono work is a vital part of what we do, you’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a pro bono project.
Throughout the programme, you’ll participate in training sessions to help familiarize yourself with some of our typical transactions and develop key skills essential for a Trainee Solicitor. You’ll also take part in a legal research exercise – a great opportunity to collaborate closely with other participants on the Clerkship Programme.
